Luminous ruby red tending toward garnet, it is redolent of blackberries, mulberry, eucalyptus and humus; at the end, spices and tobacco. Fresh and savory on the palate, with velvety tannins and a final intense recall of ashes. Prime pairings include baked duck in orange sauce, crusted beef filet, and Hungarian Goulash soup.

Large Slavonian oak casks and French oak barriques for 24 months, with a final ageing in bottle for 12-24 months.

Vinification

Manual harvest of selected bunches in 15 kg baskets, skin maceration, fermentation at around 28°C for 25-30 days, during which pump-over and délestages are executed periodically. Following the first racking, a malolactic fermentation is done.
